National Parks and Jungles along with Forest Bungalows in Dooars is opened for the tourists from 23rd September 2020. Forest department prescribed a new set of rules to re-open forests post COVID-19.
New prescriptions are as below-
- No vehicle will enter the forest without permission from the Forest Department.
- Jungle/ Watchtower Safari tickets to be issued through online portal.
- All gypsy to be sanatised after Jungle/ Watchtower Safari.
- Wearing of mask is mandatory.
- At any point of time maximum number of people allowed in watchtower is restricted to 20.
- Maximum number of persons allowed in a jeep is 4 instead of 6. Kids below 10 and people aged above 65 may not be allowed for safari.
- Elephant Safari suspended as of now.
Online booking of jungle safari for Jaldapara and Chilapata has already started. For Gorumara and Chaprmari online booking of jungle safari to commence from 12th October 2020. All jungle safari reservations are to be made through WBSFDA website.
Please let me know whether persons aged 81+is allowed for jungle safari.I am interested to conduct jungle safari
