Plying through NH through Lataguri – Gorumara National Park has become a fearful experience in last few days. For last three days, a tusker is coming out of Gorumara National Park and standing tall across the NH for hours. At times it is chasing people and two-wheelers plying through the NH. In the recent past, there have been few untoward incidents which have caused loss of life due to human-elephant conflict.
Last Saturday the elephant chased at motorbike standing adjacent to the NH. The rider of the bike had a narrow escape. The elephant also made a false charge towards a few vehicles on the NH. The forest people returned the elephant to the jungle after a lot of effort. However, such incidents have become a cause of concern of all.
