16 August 2019 – An incident which is a testimony of a dog’s faithfulness towards its master. ‘Tiger’ – the pet dog of Aruna Lama of Sonanda saved her form leopard attack.
The heroic act of the pet dog brings back the memories of a similar incident in the month of March 2019, when a pet dog saved 13-year-old boy Ajit from leopard attack on the banks of Kurti river.
Mrs Lama was drinking tea with her elder daughter Smriti in her house at Naya Gaon when they heard a noise from their godown and went there to see everything was alright. To her dismay, she was head-on with a leopard, which in no time jumped on her. Tiger accompanied Mrs Lama and immediately confronted the leopard with a counter-attack. The leopard got bewildered by the counter-attack and disappeared.
Mrs Lama suffered several injuries, Tiger, was however unhurt.
