Two Elephant Calf’s for Jaldapara National Park

Two elephant calves were born on 20th January 2019 in captivity at Jaldapara National Park. Jaldapara’s pride 53 years old Champakoli gave birth to its 7th calf. On the same day 61 years old Merry who was transferred from Karnataka gave birth for the first time – both the calves are female. From Karnataka total, eight elephants were brought & Merry is oldest of them. Forest workers are taking utmost care of the newborn infants.
