Day 1
Murti River Trail
- Meet and greet by our representative at Jalpaiguri Road(JPE). Proceed for Lataguri/ Dhupjhora/ Murti.
- Check-in at the resort at Lataguri/ Dhupjhora/ Murti. Have Lunch.
- In the evening go for Murti River trail. You can soak your feet in Murti River and enjoy sunset on the back of Gorumara Forest.
- Evening Tea with snacks. Enjoy your evening with Chicken Barbecue.
- Dinner – Off to bed. Overnight Lataguri/ Dhupjhora/ Murti.
Day 2
Medla Watchtower Safari - Sightseeing to Upper Fagu, Lava and Jhandi
- Proceed from resort by 5:30 am for Medla Watchtower Safari(on spot payment by you). We will reach Ramsai Ticket Counter by 6:00 am. Safari will start at 6:30 am. Last vehicle entry point is Kalipur, from there we will reach Medla Watchtower in a Bullock-Cart.
- Crisscrossed by Mountain Rivers like – Murti, Jaldhaka and Dyana, the habitat around Medla is primarily grassland. On the backdrop of the vast expanse of grassland lies the majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga. Presence of grassland and water sources has allured Rhinos to Medla Camp.
- It’s time to take out your binoculars and scan the area. Duration of stay at the watchtower is 1 hr. By 8:00 am we will be back to resort.
- Have Breakfast. Take rest. Get ready by 10:00 am. Proceed for sightseeing – Upper Fagu(Monastery, Tea Garden-Outer View), Paperkheti , Jhandi & Lava(Monastery, Bishnu Mandir, Suicide Point etc – All on Walk) – Lunch on the way - Back to Resort .
- Evening free for leisure activities. Tea with snacks. Dinner-Off to bed. Overnight at Lataguri/ Dhupjhora/ Murti.
Day 3
Sightseeing - 8 points.
- After Breakfast. Sightseeing to places like – Dalgaon, Jhalong, Bindu, Rock Island, Suntalekhola, Samsing, Paren and Laligarous.
- Lunch on the way. Back to resort.
- Evening free for leisure activities. Tea/ Coffee with snacks. Dinner – Off to bed. Overnight Lataguri/ Dhupjhora/ Murti.
Day 4
Jaldapara & South Khayerbari Tiger Rescue Centre
- Have Breakfast and Check-out by 8:00 am. Proceed for Jaldapara. Check-in at resort at Jaldapara. Sumptuous lunch and possibly a quick power nap.
- Proceed for South Khayerbari Tiger Rescue Center.
- Return to resort and walk around the property. Evening Tea with snacks. Dinner – Off to bed. Overnight at Jaldapara.
Day 5
Taste of Tribal Culture - Totopara & Day visit to Phunentsholing(Bhutan)
- Have Breakfast. Proceed for Totopara by 9:00 am. The ride is a joy of the heart. There are stretches of forest on both sides of the road. Wildlife frequents the place quite often. We will come across few forest villages and lush green tea estates like Hantapara. The scenic beauty of the place is indescribable in words. The road condition is bumpy and at places, there is no road and we will have to cross six semi-dry mountain streams before we reach Totopara(Note: Wagon-R may not be able to reach up to Totopara, due to rough terrain).
- Proceed for Phuentsholling(Bhutan).(Visit Gumpha Monastery and Crocodile Park).
- Lunch on the way. Back to resort.
- Evening Tea with snacks. Dinner – Off to bed. Overnight at Jaldapara.
Day 6
Jaldapara Jeep Safari - Chunia Watchtower Trail
- Morning Jeep Safari(1st Shift on spot payment by you. Ticket for the morning safari is issued a day before in evening). Return from safari and have breakfast. Safari start time – 6:00 am. The Jeep Safari is for 1:30 hr and covers three main points – Hollong, Harindanga Watchtower and Jaldapara Watchtower.
- Return from safari and have breakfast and Check-out by 10:00 am.
- Proceed for Jayanti/Santhalabari. Check-in at resort/home-stay at Jayanti/ Santhalabari.
- Have Lunch. After lunch around 3:00 pm, go for Chunia and Bhutia Basti Watchtower Safari (allowed in Taxi Vehicle). The trail through Jayanti River and Baje Khola River is famous for Leopard sighting. There is a salt lick at Chunia Watchtower. Bhutia Basti Watchtower is located adjacent to an artificial water source. It is likely you may encounter wildlife at both the towers.
- Return to the homestay. Evening Tea with snacks. Dinner – Off to bed. Overnight at Jayanti/ Santhalabari.
Day 7
Sikiajhora Boat Safari
- Have Breakfast. Visit “Pokhri Lake”. An natural waterbody in core-buffer area of Buxa Tiger Reserve. The lake famous for cat fish and turtles and is considered holy by both Hindus and Buddhists. The vehicle will go upto certain point and rest of the path is a jungle trail. On the way you will visit Tashi Gaon Watchtower.
- Check-out from home-stay by 11:00 am. Proceed for Sikiajhora.
- Sikiajhora is called the “Sunderban of Noth-Bengal”. Sikiajhora is a rivulet which meanders through the Buxa Tiger Reserve. Enjoy country boat ride through Buxa Tiger Reserve. (on spot payment by you) It is likely the boatman will narrate you leopard stories and their daily struggle with the elephants. If you are lucky you may find elephant herd devouring ‘Chalta’- favourite food for elephants.
- Lunch on the way. Drop at Alipurduar Junction for onward journey.
