Tabakoshi
Tabakoshi is an offbeat tourist destination at a distance of 8 km from Mirik and about 2 hrs drive from NJP/ Bagdogra. The place is nestled at the lap of Rangbhang river and the foothills of Gopaldhara Tea Garden(Lower Division). The place is surrounded by tea gardens from all sides, you can also find orange orchards and the hospitality of the locals will surely touch your heart. Tabakoshi has a very hospitable environment with summer temperatures reaching up to 25℃ and winters with temperatures dropping down to 3℃. Tabakoshi is surrounded by eight tea Gardens namely: Gopaldhara tea, Siyok, Turzum, Sangma, Chamong, Magarjung, Thorbu, Nagri.Tourism in Tabakoshi revolves around the lower valley of these eight tea garden in the river bed of Rangbhang Khola. The pristine nature and raw beauty of the place is still untouched.
